Ancre 1

It is to the south of the Côte des Blancs, in Courjeonnet, on the edge of the Saint Gond marshes in the Petit Morin valley, that extends the Chéré family's vineyard. Viticulturalists from father to son since the end of the XIX century, the members of the family have passed on the passion of the vine in a constant concern for quality, hard respect for tradition and environmental issues. This vineyard has been devoted to winemaking since the 1980s by Etienne Chéré.

His two sons have now taken over to cultivate and make the most of the three Champagne grape varieties in order to extract the quintessence of the flavors that make the prestige of the brand. Jewel of the house, the “Cuvée Marie” which owes its name to the sister of David and Damien.

Our terroir

Ancre 2

The grape varieties are made up of Chardonnay (60%: king grape variety), Meunier (20%) and Pinot noir (20%).

The vineyards generally benefit from a moderate oceanic climate and a degraded continental climate.

Independent winegrowers and concerned about this label, we develop our Champagnes using local grapes, whose geographical location is conducive to the maturity of the vine, which will yield elegant and seductive Cuvées.

Regularly rewarded by the Hachette guide and the wine review of France, we have made our place in the world of wine and you can find them at the tables of the biggest houses and at our partner wine merchants.

Concerned about the environment, our winery is proud to respect the "High Environmental Value" level 3 certification (the highest level of certification) as well as the "Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne" certification.
